Most homeowners never think about what's happening under their house. But the crawl space is one of the biggest sources of moisture problems, wood rot, and poor air quality in a home. Left unchecked, it causes real damage - to your structure, your floors, and even the air your family breathes every day.

This was a two-day job that covered the full package. We started with fungus removal to deal with the problem at the source. There's no point sealing things up if you're locking active growth inside. Once that was handled, we laid the vapor barrier across the entire floor and up the foundation walls, creating a clean, sealed environment that cuts off ground moisture before it ever has a chance to work its way up.

For the walls, we installed Insul-Barrier foundation blanket insulation - a product designed specifically for crawl space foundation walls. It helps regulate temperature in the space and adds another layer of protection against moisture migration. Then came the Aprilaire E70 dehumidifier, hung and plumbed for continuous drainage. That unit actively manages humidity levels year-round so the space stays dry without you ever having to think about it.

What you end up with is a crawl space that's clean, insulated, and actively controlled. The vapor barrier handles ground moisture. The insulation handles the walls. The dehumidifier handles the air. Every piece of the system works together, and that's exactly how a proper crawl space encapsulation should be done.

A lot of companies will drop a basic liner and call it a day. We don't work that way. When moisture has already done some damage, like fungus growth, that has to be addressed before anything else goes in. The goal isn't just to make it look better under there - it's to actually protect the home long-term.
